Have you heard of the musical Hamilton? Or the man behind it, Lin-Manual Miranda? Even if you haven't, he is someone who you should get to know about. Lin-Manual Miranda was born in New York City in 1980. Both his parents were from Puerto Rico and Lin-Manual grew up listening to the sounds of his Hispanic neighborhood. Lots of Spanish songs, Broadway tunes and hip hop. His love for music was so strong, he dreamed of being on Broadway himself. He attended a special school for gifted students and he dove into theater arts. In college, he wrote a play that he hoped would appear on Broadway. Through hard work and the help of friends, Lin-Manual did make it to Broadway. Follow his journey from birth to fame.
