Buck Anderson absolutely loves caves. He and his best friend have found some good ones but they are always looking for a new one that no one has ever explored. At least they used to before David moved away. Now Buck is on his own looking for caves. You see, he is bullied at school and has no other friends. People make fun of him because he stutters. He can't help it. It is just something that happens. But when he is exploring a cave, he forgets all that and is happy. And now he has found a new cave. He is pretty sure that no one has ever been in this cave. He just has to wait for the perfect time to explore it.
