A plague has wiped out most of the population on earth. Now Cass and her family must hide away. It seems that the blood of Native Americans contains the antibody that kills the plague. And the powers that be want to kill all Native Americans to get the cure. Add to this a spiritual world element when Cass realizes that she can communicate with spirits. This is an interesting combination of postapolcalyptic fiction and Native American spirituality.
