Averbeck, Jim. IN A BLUE ROOM“In a blue room, / Alice bounces, / wide-awake past bedtime.” Alice insists that everything in her room must be blue. When Mama brings in some flowers, Alice says no because they aren't blue. But they smell so wonderful. And the orange tea tastes so good. And the green quilt is so comfy. Can Alice forget that these are not blue and enjoy them anyway?
